Terms of service
Last updated July 2026. This is placeholder text written by the team, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It states our real intent but is not final legal language.
Who we are
Sceniq (sceniq.earth) is operated by Saftladen GmbH. Saftladen GmbH is the merchant of record for every purchase made on the platform: your contract for a purchase is with us, and our name appears on your payment statement.
What the service is
Sceniq sells digital travel guides created by independent creators. A guide is a collection of spots, notes, photos and maps that you view in your browser through your Sceniq account. Guides are digital content; nothing physical is shipped.
Purchases and access
A guide is a one-time purchase. After payment, access is attached to the email address you used at checkout, and you finish setting up your account to open it. Your access is personal and non-transferable: it is for you, not for redistribution, resale or public posting.
Prices are shown at checkout in the listed currency. Applicable taxes are handled through our payment provider, Stripe.
Creators are independent
Creators publish their own guides and are responsible for the content they write. We review guides before they appear on the store, but conditions outdoors change: trails close, rules change, weather turns. Use your own judgment in the field; a guide is not a safety device.
Acceptable use
Do not share purchased content outside your household, scrape the platform, misrepresent yourself at checkout, or attempt to access content you have not bought. We can suspend accounts that do.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected purchase. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence. Statutory consumer rights remain untouched.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date. Questions go to support@sceniq.earth.
