Browsing Sceniq costs nothing. A guide is a one-time purchase at a price its creator sets, starting at $9; the first guide on the platform costs $29. There is no subscription and no account fee.

One price, once
You pay for a guide the way you pay for a book: once, at the price on the cover. The guide then sits in your account for this trip and every later one to the region. Nothing meters your use and nothing renews in the background.
Who sets the price
The creator does, from $9 up. Prices land in paperback territory: Gems of Switzerland, 134 spots in and around the Alps, costs $29.
Where the money goes
Sceniq keeps a flat 15 percent of each sale; the creator keeps 85 percent. That one fee funds the checkout, the hosting, the tax handling and the payouts. Creators pay nothing up front and no monthly fee, so a guide only costs them something when it earns something.
Taxes and receipts
The checkout shows the final amount before you pay. Saftladen GmbH, the Swiss company behind the platform, sells every guide as merchant of record: it handles VAT and sends the receipt, useful if the trip goes on an expense report.
